Blogging For Your Home Based Business…..to Get High Quality Leads

Prioritizing your blogging which I guess is a verb now is important as  a small business builder in order to maximize your time as a Network Marketer or IMer and a blogger.

These are some important things I’ve learned over 20 months of daily blogging.

1.Put relationship building at the fore front by responding to those who come  to your blog.

 2.  Monetize  your  blog  by promoting  a funded proposal.There are many good ones and I use some of them.

I’m   an  information  marketer  and  I am also a network marketer which is why we teach how to MAKE$   up  front  with a funded proposal  and  affiliate products.

Also  funded  proposals like Magnetic Sponsoring  which changed my

 thinking   completely  contains  great  information that can answer

a  question or solve a problem….which is why I created my

marketing  blog.

3. Leverage off of other people’s lead generation systems untilyour’s  is up and running.

 I can help you with that here  …..it’s  one method  only with money to be made  there also.

4. Personally  follow up with your leads and continue add value by offering support . This is done with great autoresponder letters.

They work 24/7 for you folks.

And email broadcasts when needed.

5. This will build trust over time and give you repeat purchases.

Primary goal is building relationships…remember this.

                  How to Get More High Quality Prospects to Your Blog

A simple method is using MLM key words  if  in MLM or IM.

Put yourself in your prospects shoes.

Pin point exact questions your prospects are asking in the search engines by

Using http://labs.wordtraker.com/keyword-questions.

Think about the terms you searched.

Long tailed key words are normal.

IE.If you are selling a money making opportunity you could enter

“work from home”  into word tracker  keyword research tool

And find questions like..

Are there  legal work from home jobs?

Where can I find a work from home job?

What are good work from home companies?

Jobs you can work from home?

By answering these questions in your posts you’ll pick up

targeted search engine traffic  and links to your blog.

Blogs are SEO friendly right out of the gate. The act of blogging

and being engaged starts the whole snowball effect. I post often myself

and this is happening to me now.

You never know when one of your long tailed key words will rank in

a certain niche.

My first goal and your’s also should be to give valuable content that will help folks.

The second goal is to get higher rankings.

The average blog gets indexed 434% more by search engines than traditional

web sites. The more people engage in the blogging thing the more it confirms

there is no saturation which some folks worry about apparently.

It allows more folks to move forward more quickly. Because things are

changing fast online you always have a chance to rank for some key word if

you stay in the game.

Change is good in blogging. Post socially proven content on your blog. People

are tweeting and sharing this content already.

Go to http://alltop.com  and http://popurls.com

No you don’t have to write your own content folks..but don’t steal it

either. If you use it GIVE CREDIT.

There is great material in those sites to piggy back on.

Write a great review on a  post or article or product or…….whatever.

This is huge because you will be promoting great material again that is

already being shared.

You will learn as you read and more ideas will come to you as you

continue to share great stuff.

This is how it’s being done properly through social networking

and gives you ability to control your content…which is  very  vital.

I think blogging is by far the best method for this.

Social Media Basics…I’ve Observed.

  There is a right way and a wrong way to post on any other Social Media site.
People do not like to be hammered by ads folks.

  I mention this first since it really is pervasive and pisses me off to no end….and it’s almost got me afraid to connect inside some sites.

Look myself and many others work hard to be professional.
 
  Do you like when you go to maybe a furniture store to look and suddenly you are swamped by sales folk following you around ?

I don’t…it’s the same online when you hammer folks.

People want information to solve their problems.

  People want to know who you are, what you do, and what is working for you. Give them good, solid, reviews of products and services you use that have helped you or MADE$ for you.

You’ll get more respect that way.

I also learned and now use the  3 E’s  when inside a social network or forum or a blog.

Mike Dillard taught this and so do the folks I learned from..WHO learned from Mike Dillard also.

1. Educate  Go learn something new and after you implement it…teach it.
  There are sooo many folks new or not online looking for answers to sooo many topics.

2.Enlighten I’m speaking to myself here since I used to be a little too serious at times.
So because I’m a huge reader of inspration,wisdom and self help I now share those types of bits of information with folks.

3. Entertain  Again not my strong point ..but I can share people who have that as their strong point.

Simple stuff people that is increasing my organic leads weekly now.

  Now for those of you that are not set up like myself having 2 word press blogs connected to many social sites  and article marketing…..just start somewhere and build your presence as you do this commenting and connecting consistently.

That’s what I’ve done for 2 years.

I had ZERO web presence 2 years ago.

I know…it comes down to that word no one likes…. DISCIPLINE.  It gets easier folks once you build your sales funnel or have it built.

We teach that too in our free training.

Or in our case we invite to a free training to see if we are a fit for you.

 Lastly I think people want to see your picture so they know they are dealing with a real person and not a virtual assistant. I much prefer to deal with a real person with a real picture so I can see what they look like. Do not put up a picture of a cat, even if it is cute as a button, unless you are selling cat supplies or you meow when someone puts a glass of milk in front of you.

That’s only if you are serious folks and want to MAKE$.

As far as myself it’s the only reason I’ve struggled for 2 years learning this online marketing stuff.

It seems as if people want to know “what are you doing?”

Now my personality does not give a crap what you are doing…but I do like connecting with like minded folks.

That’s why I say “I’m only looking for people looking for me.”

  They want to laugh. Some people are trying hard to make a little money
online to supplement an income, get some money after being laid off, and their daily lives are stressful. Give them something to feel good about, something to laugh at. They will thank you for it.

What it takes…For ANY BUSINESS SUCCESS !

Anti Aging, Self help

After much research and reading in the anti-aging
field for many years I have started my anti-aging Franchise.

As a baby boomer “At the apex of the pig in the python”

…so 54 years young… I’ve known for some years that I

would be doing this.

I didn’t know which company I would want backing me though.

Over the last 20 years I’ve consumed many many different
formulations from many many companies.

My personality is quite anal so I don’t go by …the HE SAID..SHE SAID technique of what certain products do for the human body.

To be honest with you the last few years I’ve simply
taken super foods which have performed better than Evey
formulation I’ve taken before.

ie.Maca,Curcumin,Spirulina,Chia seeds,Chlorella,acia….
and others.

Up until now.
I’ll Still eat the superfoods.

Working out in a hard core way is still my passion…but
at 54 recovery is the key so I can get back at it asap.

So in saying that you’ll see below in this article I’m sharing what the company is.

This comapny is completely backed by 30 years of research with all
white papers and studies and such recorded over 3 decades.

It’s also on the NY stock exchange and uses network marketing as a business model.
And a billion plus dollar company.

Anyway I’m not going to bore folks with stats and figures.

That will all come in my new anti-aging category.

What it takes…

“I guess I just don’t have what it takes to be successful in Nu Skin.”

I’ve heard people say this more times than you can imagine. Usually when I hear it, it is being used to explain away why a person is having repeating obstacles and setbacks in getting their business established. It’s almost as if these difficulties are not supposed to be happening…and wouldn’t be happening, if only they had what it takes.

Let’s think about this for a minute…

.People too often are made to think that individual talent is what it takes and you either have it…or you don’t. Those that “have it” are successful…those that “don’t have it”…well, they don’t make it.
. Many times I hear people say that a specific set of skills is what it takes if you want to succeed. You have to be “trained” and “taught the business” by the right people in order to be able to build a viable Nu Skin income.

.Many of us are asked to believe that a strong support structure is what it takes to succeed. Just plug your prospects into this or that system and they’ll be taken care of…success is automatic.

.I often hear that attending big EVENTS, out-of-town meetings and monthly seminars are absolutely required if you want to succeed. If you can’t afford travel, hotels, registration fees, and business clothing then you just don’t have what it takes.
Have you heard some of this before? I have…and I always find myself cringing when it comes up.

“Wait a minute Dennis, are you saying that talent, skill, support, meetings and motivation are not important?”

No…of course I’m not. What I am saying is that you can have limited talent, no experience in sales or marketing, little to no exposure to big events or meetings, an upline of 13 Executives with 10 that are no longer working the business, and absolutely no money to invest in sales aids or seminars…and STILL have what it takes.
How do I know this?…because it is my story. (ask me about it sometime)

And do you know what I think is the most interesting thing about network marketing…? The fact that there are TONS of success stories just like mine. Stories of people from different backgrounds, with no experience, no training, who started with next to nothing…and went on to create networks that made their wildest dreams come true because they had what it takes!

In a word – I call it HEART…the ability to reach deep down inside and grab onto your dreams with an unshakable faith. More important than training. More important than natural abilities. More important than all the meetings, conference calls and seminars you will ever attend!

It all starts with where you are right NOW. Take your talents and experiences (no matter how limited you think they might be) and begin to USE them. Let me encourage you to never look at your talents, skills, natural abilities, or income level as an obstacle between you and your dreams.

Think of your talents like the black keys on a piano. Those little black keys you see on a piano are capable of playing only FIVE different notes. Yet it is possible to take JUST those 5 notes and create some of the most magnificent and beautiful music imaginable….when…(and here’s my point)…those five little notes are played with HEART!
Five notes…endless possibilities. Just play the notes God has given you, with all your heart –because that, more than anything else, is what it takes.

The Three Common Habits of Successful Entrepreneurs

When I find something valuable and simple to do
I like to share this to hopefully help even one person.

Below is a newsletter from Glazer Kennedy.

If you are struggling or have struggled with your Home
Based Business or Online Business or building your
Network Marketing Business or Internet Marketing or
Information Marketing Business or whatever your vision
is….you are on the right track.

Listen it wouldn’t be fair if you did not struggle at
some point.

I know newbies don’t want to hear this…but it’s
simply the way it is and always has been.

I’ve always been a reader but I started to read
more in the 90′s when I was in my 30′s and early
40′s.
Also what I read has changed..even though I always
have a novel going for a break.

My self help started with Seeds of Greatness by Dr.
Dennis Waitely in 1993 when I was an Amway distributor
and has not stopped since then.

I always recommend reading to folks and sometimes
as Bill says below folks don’t get how this will help them.

I will say for sure if I did not read these types of books
I would not keep trying to increase as I do.

That’s definitive…no question.

Bill says it better than I and he has the fruit on the tree
to make his point.

As you might imagine, with tens of thousands of GKIC Members and actually working first hand with nearly 200 people in Peak Performers, VIP-Mastermind, Info-MASTERMIND and my personal clients, I see a lot and learn a lot about Entrepreneurs. I was thinking the other day about the traits that the most successful ones have in common and I’ve identified the three most common ones.

HABIT #1: They READ a lot … especially books. In fact, when I first discovered ‘Planet Dan’ way back in 1995 the first thing that I did
when I figured out that this Direct Response stuff really works is to become a veracious reader. I first began with the classics like John Caples, Robert Collier, David Ogilvy, Gary Halbert and of course everything Dan Kennedy wrote.

Back then I got into a habit of reading a book a week and I’ve kept up with two a month even though my schedule has become much busier.

For example, as I write this I have a stack of books on my desk: Conquer The Chaos (Mask & Martineau)
The Mirror Test (Hayzlett)
No B.S. Wealth Attraction for the New Economy (Dan Kennedy)

As you can see, I keep the topics somewhat diverse and many of the books are ones that Members send me. They’re not all about marketing and advertising. But I don’t want you to miss the point I’m making here. This is not a habit that is specific to me. It’s a habit that I have identified as common to the Most Successful Entrepreneurs I work with.

HABIT #2: They continue to work on their EDUCATION in live settings. After all, how did we originally learn? We went to school and sat in a classroom. It’s always amazing to me how many people stop working on their education after they get out of school. It should not surprise you that those Members who attend our live events are much more successful than those who do not. I’m not saying this because I’m trying to promote our events. This is true of every event I have ever attended.

It’s because people who continue to go to school, whether it’s school at a live event, webinar, or teleseminar, work on their continuing education. And of course the live event is the best continuing education because you not only can learn from the presenter, but also from all of the other smart people in the room. Once again, I hope you don’t take this a self serving, but I know of millions and millions and millions of dollars that have been made by the networking that goes on at live events.

HABIT #3: They create SMART GOALS for themselves and write them down for everyone to see. What are smart goals? This is a term that I learned from my own Management Mentor, Vince Zirpoli.

S-M-A-R-T is an acronym for:
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time Bound

There is no question that by creating smart goals and writing them down for others to see, you have a much better chance of achieving them. I’m always amazed at how few people actually do this every year and then update them throughout the year.

On the other hand, the successful Entrepreneur almost always does this. It’s important to point out that just writing them down seldom leads to getting them accomplished. Accountability is what gets them accomplished. That’s why you need others to see your smart goals.

I learned this first when I was operating my own Menswear stores. I actually posted our yearly goals and promotions for everyone in the company to see. It wasn’t as much for them as it was for me. Because they saw them, I knew as the leader I had to set a good example and get them done.

Okay, now that you’ve seen what I have identified as “The Three Common Habits of Successful Entrepreneurs,” I have two questions for you. You probably guessed the first one, which is: How many of these habits are you currently accomplishing?

But the second question will require just a little bit of thought and I’m going to leave you with it: If you’re currently not accomplishing all (or any) of these three habits, what do you think would happen to you and your business if you did? (Think about it!)

you succceed… so THEY DO NOT CARE about actually
helping you get RESULTS…

They just care about how to sell you more stuff.

Why would they be so excited about training and teaching
their own competition…

Unless you’re selling THEIR stuff… they don’t really
care and there is no incentive to really help you.

We work different because, frankly, we get paid different.

The faster I put dollars in your pocket, the faster I make
even more.

The more sales I close for you… the bigger my own team
grows…

When you earn a 6-Figure Stream of $$$… I earn a 7-Figure
Stream…

It’s a win-win… we’re more like partners…

That’s why we’ve built a system that does most of the work
and that’s why I close your sales…

start doing, if you haven’t already:

Build YOUR OWN email subscriber list.

Why is this so important?

Because if you’re not doing this… if
you’re not capturing people’s names and
email addresses when they visit your
website or blog…

The chances of them coming back, or of
you ever communicating with them again,
are almost none!

Which means you’re letting the vast
majority of your sales opportunities
slip away.

Did you know sales studies have proven
that, on average, it takes four to seven
“points of contact” (or encounters)
between you and your prospect before a
sale will happen?

Why is that do you think?

It’s because the first time someone comes
across you, or lands on your website,
they don’t have a clue WHO you are or if
WHAT you’re selling really does what you
say it will do.

Maybe they’ve been unsuccessful with five
other home based businesses before and
they need more proof that you actually
have something different to offer than
everything else out there.

Maybe they’re interested in your
moisturizing lotion, but they just need
more information about whether it will
help them with their special skin condition.

Or maybe they’re just hesitant to buy
anything online, in fear you’ll just
take their money (or identity) and run.

Whatever the case…

One of the biggest benefits of having your
own email subscriber list is you’ll
gradually overcome ALL of this resistance!

Because every follow-up message you send
is another opportunity to build a
trustworthy and personal relationship.

And contrary to what many uplines or
companies will tell you, face-to-face is
NOT the only way to build personal
relationships.

In fact, some of my very closest
relationships and friendships I have now
were developed over the internet.

True business relationships have nothing
to do with the medium being used. It’s
all about the VALUE you give to the other
person. And email is actually one of the
best, fastest and easiest ways to provide
an OVERWHELMING amount of value for your
prospects and potential customers.

It also gives you the opportunity to
gradually answer all their questions
and objections over time.

It’s only natural for someone to wonder,
will this really work for me?

Plus it swings the door wide open for more
education that will naturally pre-sell
them on what you’re offering.

Now I don’t know for sure, but you might
be using an offline method to follow-up
with people right now.

It could be a phone call… thank you card…
maybe even a face-to-face conversation.

These are all good ideas and it’s a lot
better than not following up at all!

However, as your business continues to grow…

You won’t have time (or the money) to do
this by yourself, with every single new
prospect that enters your pipeline.

You’ll have to find a way to leverage your
efforts and automate this process –
which is EXACTLY what email marketing does.

Why Most Network Marketers Do Zero Retail Business

I did not write this article but I could have.

We where taught to retail in the old Amway concept.

It works.

Is retailing product a true network marketing opportunity?
On this planet, the lifeblood of any company is retail sales to the end consumer. Think about this, Business models drive the behavior in the field.

Would you agree with me that every product – doesn’t matter what it is – a bottle of water, a coke or Pepsi, an aspirin, a vitamin, a liquid nutritional drink – it could be any product out here – if the quality and quantity of all the ingredients, are exactly the same, I ask people, “Would you agree with me that the wholesale manufacturing cost of any product is within pennies of each other?”
And the answer I get is, “Absolutely, no question about it, that is true.”
Now here’s where the problem comes in.

Marketing The Product To The End Consumer

Let me you a story. Companies A, B and C, these are real companies in real life. Company A hired a doctor to formulate the best vitamin product on the planet – and they did. it’s something you can take all at once. It doesn’t interact with any of the other ingredients. Works great. That company is marketing that product. They are a fairly large company, publicly traded.
Another company comes along and what’s so funny about the story is the COO, the bean counter for the first company, sold his piece of the pie and became a distributor with company B.

Company B has a binary compensation plan. Now the first company is a stairstep break away comp plan, second company is a binary. So A is the stairstep, B is the binary. And the binary plan is just one left, one right.
Now, that guy said “Whoa! We had this great product with company A – now we want it with company B. So they go and hire the doctor away from company A to formulate them the best product.
And I would ask you another question. When you are a publicly traded company, you are not spending your money. You are spending investors’ money. So when you put that dot, the comma, the zero on a check, does it really matter to you? Does it really matter where you put it? Absolutely not, it is not your money. It’s like you shopping with my credit card.

So they hired the doctor. What that cost, I have no idea. But they told the doctor, “Make us the best vitamin product!” And he said, “Well – they’ve already got it in company A. But we could take that same formula and I could increase everything one gram.
So He Added One More Gram of Stuff To The Stuff
So every capsule of THEIR new stuff had one more gram in it. Great, no problem, So they created that product.

Now, company C came along, The founder of the company said, “Whoa! Company A, company B, they have got a great product. It’s not patented. Don’t need the doctor. Four manufacturing companies make the identical product. All I need to do is get the formula, take it to our manufacturer, see if they can improve it.”
So they did. So they took the same formula and added to it, improved the formula.
Now, here is the reality, I am going to give you the retail sales price on all 3 company’s products.
Company A: $114 retail
Company B: $104 retail
Company C: $39.95 retail

But Isn’t The Wholesale Cost Identical?

Now, you agreed with me that the wholesale manufacturing cost of any product is within pennies. So why the big spread? If you joined Company B, I know for fact that you can buy that product at the super duper low wholesale price of 79.95.

Now, you got to ask yourself this question, since Company B’s wholesale price is double the retail price of company C. why the big difference? Well, first, you need to understand that the business model drives the behavior in the field. In company A and B, the business model promotes the behavior of recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit. Why? Because normal mortals will not pay that kind of money for product.

They’ll only buy the product to be in the business. So that business model creates the behavior of recruit, recruit, recruit. Now, company C, because it’s $39.95 retail, that creates a behavior of retail, retail, retail. And you can prove it with these numbers.

To make $10,000 a month on the residual auto ship volume in Company A, you need 1400 – 1600 people. Company B, you need 2200 – 2400 people, Company C – you need less than 400 people. Same product. Same people you are selling to. So the big question is, can average part time people ever build a group of 2400? Or can they build a group of 400 easier? Think about that.

So The Business Model Drives The Behavior In the Field. Always!
Why is your product so expensive? Here’s why, the company need a big, big, big, big, big building. It’s so comical. They say, “Oh, we’re debt free.”Yeah. They’re debt-free off the backs of the distributors, they stole the compensation plan to build the big building. Doesn’t help the reps at all.
Think about this for a second. Companies A, B and C, and the breakage – that’s all profits that they make out of you, the distributor. Breakage is the difference between the wholesale cost and the retail cost, that mark-up from 39.95 retail to the 79.95 wholesale. That pays for the big building, the company jet, pays for all that.
A few years back, a prepaid phone card company charged $2 or $3 a minute for prepaid phone calls. You bought a prepaid phone card back then for a dollar a minute. But these were collector’s cards. (“If you don’t scratch the back of the card off, and don’t use the time, it makes it more valuable.”)

So this plastic card, which cost maybe 25 cents to create, was selling for $2 a minute. And the company convinced the people not to scratch it off, so they never had to pay for the phone time.
Isn’t that amazing? It’s no wonder network marketing gets a bad name.
One way to build your business is to sell products at retail. And to do that, you must join a company with value-priced products. It’s important that you look around to find that. Don’t settle for a company that charges 2 or 3 times the product value. Consumers are smart. You will always struggle to build with that company.
